Picking a simple standard on the spot to bring the band together for opening always feels nice.
wrote this piece during some reflections on my journey of living in a different country for 9 years
My 6-year-old student came in the other day excited and showed me his writing on “how to play Oompa Lumpa song (1971) and twinkle twinkle on the guitar” just such great notation I have to put it over my face. He does not miss bar lines and repeat signs.
